In an ambitious move towards sustainable building management, CNJ digital, as the lead partner in a consortium with Pareto Ltd. and DERŽIČ - DREZGA Ltd., has embarked on a pioneering project, AI - CONDITION. This project, generously co-financed by the European Union under the auspices of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aims to revolutionize the way HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems are controlled, leveraging the cutting-edge technologies of artificial intelligence and digital twins.
The AI-Condition initiative is set to develop an advanced SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that automates the control of HVAC systems, promoting a harmonious balance between thermal comfort and energy efficiency. This innovative approach is expected to not only enhance the comfort of building occupants - both visitors and staff - but also significantly reduce operational energy costs and carbon emissions. At the heart of AI-Condition is a sophisticated multi-criteria optimization algorithm designed to fine-tune HVAC operations based on real-time data on occupant comfort, energy expenditure, and equipment lifespan.
With a project timeline from November 1, 2023, to October 31, 2025, and a total investment of EUR 498,413 EUR, AI-Condition represents a significant commitment to environmental sustainability and technological innovation. The project's funding structure further includes an investment of EUR 110,351.58 from the consortium members' own resources, underscoring their dedication to advancing green building technologies.
This venture is part of a broader strategy financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility mechanism, demonstrating the EU's commitment to supporting innovative solutions that contribute to the green transition and digital transformation of its member states. The AI-Condition project is poised to set new standards in the HVAC industry, offering a scalable model for energy-efficient building management that could be adopted widely across Europe and beyond.
For stakeholders in the building management, HVAC, and sustainability sectors, AI-Condition offers a glimpse into the future of smart buildings, where technology and eco-consciousness converge to create healthier, more efficient, and environmentally friendly living and working spaces.
